How was your experience as a Saturday School’s Intern?
I really enjoyed my experience as an intern for Saturday School. I felt excited that I was able to work for a cause that I cared about. Even though I was younger, I was involved in many projects throughout my internship that challenged my skills. I was able to collaborate with the staff and students which helped me gain a deeper understanding of the process of brainstorming ideas and slowly developing them into reality. I could feel that everyone on the team cared about the students we were working with and were all giving their best effort. I had a lot of fun as an intern while learning a lot at the same time.
What do you think is Saturday School’s role in Thai Education?
I think Saturday School has an important role in improving the thai education system. Too often, students are only able to learn a few subjects in the classroom even though there are so many other jobs and skills that are necessary in life. It can be difficult for students to find ways to develop these passions so I am glad that Saturday School has created an area for students to explore their interests. Regardless of socioeconomic status, gender or age, I believe that all students should have the opportunity to find their passions and have a safe space to develop their talents in order to improve themselves and their community.
